This quilt, completed in 2024, is a modern interpretation of a late 1700s classic orange peel design. For me, it also serves as a proof of concept, showcasing my process of inside-out applique combined with big-stitch quilting. I love the texture and depth of the live edge. Created with this applique technique, it also allows me to quilt at the rhythm of life. I envision this quilt as a small garden designed to attract birds with songs to sing!
